RISE & BUILD Organization is a regional, non-profit and non-partisan organization. It was established in 2024 in Kampala, Uganda in response to increasing needs for millions of populations in the conflict-ridden region of the Horn of Africa

The needs range from humanitarian assistance, development interventions and peacebuilding. Although challenges facing local communities are context specific in each country and regions in the Horn of Africa, holistic development and peace building approaches are critical because most of those challenges and needs are interdependent with spillover effects across borders of the members states of the Horn of Africa.

OBJECTIVES
• To engage, mobilize and sensitize communities to unfold their internal potentialities, and own and localize development interventions.
• Support the rehabilitation, recovery and resettlement of communities affected by conflicts, with focus on IDPs and refugees.
• To foster interfaith community engagement, dialogue and local peacebuilding
• build peace and social cohesion within and between communities.
• To capacitate local community to counter the drivers of violence within and between communities.
• To amplify communities’ voices and actions aim at achieving sustainable and holistic development.
The organization intends to undertake its operations, activities, consultancy services on two core separate, yet intertwined, thematic areas of PEACE and DEVELOPMENT. Within the Peace-Development Nexus, the focus is on the following:
1. Community Development/ Empowerment, leading to local community sustainable development, empowerment, and livelihood improvements.
2. Education, Capacity Building and Training leading to earning of academic degrees, acquiring vocational skills, and income-generating activities.
3. Peace and Conflict Transformation, with focus on peacebuilding, conflict resolution/ mitigation/ management, and conflict transformation, leading to sustainable peace and stability, particularly at community level in the targeted communities/areas.
4. Consultancy Services covering Project Management Cycle, MEAL, Impact Assessment, Situational Analysis, Need Assessment, Mitigation Risk Assessment, and Conflict Sensitive Analysis.
