RISE & BUILD Organization is a regional, non-profit and non-partisan organization. It was established in 2024 in Kampala, Uganda in response to increasing needs for millions of populations in the conflict-ridden region of the Horn of Africa. The needs range from humanitarian assistance, development interventions and peacebuilding. Although challenges facing local communities are context specific in each country and regions in the Horn of Africa, holistic development and peace building approaches are critical because most of those challenges and needs are interdependent with spillover effects across borders of the members states of the Horn of Africa.
Against this backdrop, R&B Organization is committed to engage and mobilize disadvantaged communities and groups to rise and unfold their potentials to achieve sustainable peace, justice and development in the region. It aims at transforming peoples’ lives, with abilities to equitably access opportunities regardless of race, color, religion or cultural background. The organization is strategically and legally registered to work in Uganda (Reg.), South Sudan (Reg.), Sudan (Reg.) including its war-torn and marginalized regions of the Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile and Darfur. IDPs, Refugees, and vulnerable/disadvantage groups, namely women, children, and youth are the main targets and beneficiaries of interventions and activities.
